Time & Place May 08, 2025, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Shirley Place, 512 Main Ave, Northport, AL 35476, USA Information We are excited to announce that our Progressive Dinner Dining Through Time: A Taste of Historic Tuscaloosa will be Thursday, May 8th this year. Each year, this event is designed as a fund-raiser to benefit a designated area within Historic Tuscaloosa. As we prepare to observe the momentous celebration of the 200th birthday of the Old Tavern, there are improvements and repairs that must be made to the structure and the surrounding grounds. The proceeds from the 2025 Progressive Dinner will be used to accomplish these goals. We are seeking sponsors to help make this event successful and to meet our fundraising goals. This is also a wonderful opportunity to share these beautiful structures with supporters of historical preservation in our county. The event will begin with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and entertainment at The Shirley Place in Historic Downtown Northport. Guests will then move to the Jemison Mansion in downtown Tuscaloosa, where a gourmet meal and drinks will be served. Afterward, our guests will be treated to delectable desserts at the Dearing-Swaim House. We would be honored by your sponsorship of this unique event. The funds raised will benefit not only Tuscaloosa County residents but also visitors to our city by helping to fund projects necessary for the preservation of the structures that Historic Tuscaloosa oversees: the Battle-Friedman House and Gardens, the Jemison-Van de Graaff Mansion, the McGuire-Strickland Home, the Murphy-Collins Home (Murphy African American Museum), and the Old Tavern.
